Off-Peak tickets

Off Peak tickets provide greater flexibility than Advance tickets, permitting you to travel on all Off Peak services for your chosen journey. If you miss one Off Peak service, you are able to catch the next available Off Peak train.

Off Peak Single tickets, as well as Off Peak Day Single/Day Return are valid for a specific date only.

Off Peak Return tickets are valid for outbound travel on one specific service and for return travel within one calendar month.

Off peak tickets may be restricted to a specific route or for travel on the services of a specific Train Operating Company. Super Off-Peak tickets

Super Off-Peak tickets are less flexible than Off-Peak tickets, but are the cheapest tickets which give you flexibility on when you can travel.

Super Off-Peak tickets are not available on all routes, but where they are available they will give you a slightly more restricted time period than Off-Peak tickets for when you may travel. If you would like greater flexibility, look for Off-Peak tickets by clicking on the triangular tab, next to the ticket price on our fares page.

Super Off-Peak Single rail tickets, as well as Super Off-Peak Day Single/Day Return are valid for a specific date only.
